So after I finished shooting the Moore Wedding, I had to head back to Blacksburg. From Nashville, it's about a 6-hour ride. The midpoint between my starting and ending point is Knoxville, TN. One of my favorite couples, Leon and Monique, live there. Of course I had to stop by and see how they were doing.
On the way there, I called Leon and let him know that I'd be stopping through. He told me that he and Mo were at an event called "The Studio Xperience". Leon's church was having service in a nightclub. Yes, you read that correctly. There was a church service being held in a nightclub. Needless to say, I initially thought it was a bit bizarre. He told me I should come by. Of course I had to oblige.
Upon my arrival, I heard echoes of live music all the way in the parking lot. When we walked into the building, I was greeted to a live concert. There were people hopping around. The band was hype. It was just a good time. The stigma of your typical club setting completely left my mind after I saw a church service being held in one.

In an attempt to provide visitors of Silas Photography a glimpse into my mind regarding my thoughts and motivations behind photography, I have changed the primary format of my website to that of a blog. Whenever new photos are posted, a blog post will accompany them. Feel free to leave your thoughts on any posts that interest you. Check back periodically for updates.
